3 year dangerous driving ban

I was banned 2 yrs ago for 3 yrs after crashing my car through drink driving and dangerous driving. Is it possible to apply for my license early? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Adrian,

You are allowed to request your licence after serving 2 years of a 3 year driving disqualification. However you'll need to have a valid reason for doing so. You can write to the court where you were sentenced to ask them whether you could have your licence early. If the court decides in your favour, then you will have to apply to the DVLA by filling an application form and paying a fee. DVLA will be informed by the court whether your disqualification was removed. It takes DVLA roughly 3 weeks to return your licence after receipt of your application (provided everything is fine).
