Ann-Marie,

For a period of 1-28 days, you can get temp cover. However for longer periods than that, short term car insurance is not applicable. The closest thing you can get is roughly 60 days insurance. You can get a month by month car insurance contract which will allow you to renew on a monthly basis. Therefore you can get your son insured for 2 months. Please have a look at eCar Pay As You Go Insurance policy for more information and to get an online quote.
