6 month ban for driving without a licence and no insurance

Hi on jan 11th 2010 I was stopped for driving without a licence and without insurance. The court summons was april 6th 2010, I didn't go as I pleaded guilty by post. The court hearing was adjourned to april 29th 2010 that's when the court decided to issue me with a 6 month ban, as you can tell it's a lengthy period between the date of the offence and date of sentencing. I was wondering which one of the 2 dates my ban will start from - the offence date or court date as it's not specified on the letter I received.

Your driving ban starts the day of sentencing by the court. Since your conviction date was 29th April 2010, your disqualification starts from then until 6 months are over. You can always call up the court where you were sentenced to confirm this if you want to.
