Fault accidents for named drivers will directly affect your no claims bonus. What happens is that you will be stepped back on the no claims discount scale. So if you're receiving 65% discount, you may just receive 50% off your premiums at renewal time (the maximum no claims years will be 5 with most insurers and they will step you back 2 years which would result in you having just 3 years no claims bonus). This varies from insurer to insurer and you should consult Royal Sun Alliance for a more accurate overview of the process.
