ADI Insurance

Is it part of the driving instructor's insurance policy to have a replacement vehicle to be able to carry out our jobs in the event of an accident?

That really depends on the insurance policy that you have. Some insurers will include a replacement vehicle for ADIs (Approved Driving Instructor) to use if your car has been taken to the garage for repairs but it is just a normal car. So if you have a dual controlled car which you use to teach your pupils, then you will not be able to work in that replacement car. Some ADI insurance policies will provide an exact replacement vehicle to you and you will be able to carry on with driving tuitions until you get your car back. Therefore you will need to read the policy in detail (the small text as well) to see what benefits you will have when you sign up for insurance cover.
