Becoming an instructor in Canada

You will need to have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 4 years out of the last 6 years. What is a UK/ED licence? I use to be a driving instructor for driving semi trucks and have had a class A licence with doubles/triples, tankers, hazmat and motorcycle for 24 years, does that qualify for anything? And are there any driving course in CA that you may go to like a trade school that will put you through all the requirements you need to become a instructor? Kind of like a truck driving school, only an instructor course, and if so where would you suggest I look? And how long do the classes generally take if they have them?

Brook,

UK/ED mean a UK or European driving licence. The information provided on how to become a driving instructor is specific to the UK I'm afraid. Not sure what the requirements are for Canada though, so you will have to check with the authorities concerned. Here in Britain, you have classes to help you become a qualified driving instructor and chances are that you will have the same in your country although you will need to do some research on the Internet or ask your family or friends.
