Can I get insurance for a car even though I ain't the registered keeper?

I am purchasing a car and my boyfriend will be the registered keeper, but he can't drive and I want to insure on myself.

You should be able to as long as you state when asked who is the registered keeper. You have to be careful because if your boyfriend is the registered keeper he is responsible for all fines, speeding tickets etc also he will be the one that will receive notification for things such as road tax and MOT.

You will be known as just the 'owner' if you can prove that you bought the vehicle. Be careful as you can end up with problems when doing this with a boyfriend rather than a spouse
