Can I insure a car while being banned?

I've got a driving ban and would like to know whether I could still insure a car in my name?

If you have been banned from driving, then your licence would have been revoked and it would make it impossible for you to insure any car under your own name as you need a valid licence to do so. This means you cannot take out a new car insurance policy.

If you have already got a policy in your name and you've received a driving ban, you will still need to pay for your car insurance premiums for the remainder of the term as you're bound to a contract with the insurance company.

Yes just don't drive the car, I've been banned for 2 yrs but still insuring my car whilst am banned, so I don't lose my no claims bonus, they don't ask for you license.
