Can I reduce my 2 year ban for dangerous driving?

Hi

My name's Ryan and I need some advice on whether I can reduce my ban for dangerous driving, failing to provide and failure to stop. This ban was for 2 years and I also got 300hrs community service!

My ban started from the 3rd of December. I need to know whether or not I can reduce this due to my army career being in jeopardy because I'm joining an armoured regiment and I need a license to do so?

Ryan,

For driving bans less or equal to two years, you will have to complete the whole ban term. Have a look at the article on getting licence early after a ban for more information.

If you have been asked to do a drink rehab course though, then you would be able to get your ban reduced by upto 6 months but that depends on whether the magistrate who sentenced you recommended the drink driving course in the first place.

All the court said was that I am to take an extended driving test after 2 years.

Then you will not be able to get your licence any earlier than when your ban expires. Also since the court said you have to take an extended driving test, then it means you will have to apply for a provisional licence and pass a much more rigorous driving test before you can drive again.

I got banned 18 months for dangerous driving an I want to know if there is any available courses so I can reduce my ban. If you found any plz let me know mate.

I got banned for speeding at 173mph in a 50 mph which was 70mph and they reduced it because the car would only do 127mph and I said I was doing 95 to 105 they charged me with dangerous driving crafty, banned me for two years, fined me £5450.00. I tried to apply for my licence early no chance they said I applied for my licence and it came through the post and it was provisional licence. I wasn't told in court to retake my test. I rang my solicitor and he said you have to retake your test under dangerous driving, careless driving you don't, thats the the law.
