You shouldn't have any problems if you want to
insure your car for a weekend. You would need to get temporary insurance on your BMW and you can get it from 1 to 28 days. Therefore for your circumstances, you just need to take 2 days temp insurance.
However if you're under 21, then you will find it difficult to get insurance cover for a short period. This is because most insurers prefer to insure drivers who are 21 or over and who have had their licence for over a year. If you fall into this category, then weekend insurance is not for you.
