It is quite common to see car insurance for 17 year old drivers to be ridiculously expensive. Therefore it is important that you get quotes from the ones who you haven't.
I'd also suggest that you take a policy with an insurance companies which is going to recognise your no claims as a named driver so that when you decide to get your own policy, you don't end up starting back to square one.
