Clutch problem with 1.8 TDCI ( Reg 53)

Since a recent cold spell when I had a lot of difficulty getting the car started, accompanied with great deal of engine noise and violent shaking (thought the engine was trying to jump out of the car) I've had various noises like something is loose when clutching/declutching, and idling in neutral and moving at slow speeds.

It's difficult to tell without having a look at the vehicle. You can expect some strange behaviours during cold weathers but it should return back to normal after some time - when you start using the car again. If the problem persists, then you should go get your car checked by a mechanic.
