Disabled and lost licence for drink driving

I am disabled and lost my driving licence for 28 months for drink driving this was a year ago and I haven't drank since. The loss of my licence is really affecting my disability, is there any way I can get my licence back early? This happened a year ago and I am disabled.

For driving disqualifications between 2-4 years, you can request your driving licence after 2 years of the ban have elapsed. Since you have been banned for 28 months (2 years, 4 months), you can only ask for your licence back after 2 years. There are no guarantees that you are going to get it back but since this is affecting your disability even more, the court will take this into consideration and then make a decision. You will need to apply to the court where you were sentenced after the 2 years have gone by.
