Driving Without Tax and Insurance

I am in this strange situation where I am driving without road tax and my car is not insured even with third party only cover. What are the risks I am running?

Thanks.

If you haven't renewed/bought road tax for your car, you will be fined £80. This penalty will be reduced to £40 if you pay the fine within 28 days. If you ignore the fine, you will receive a County Court Judgement (CCJ) and your vehicle will be clamped. You can be prosecuted and a fine of £1000 is very likely.

Now driving without tax will also invalidate your insurance which means that if you have any accident meanwhile, you will not be able to claim through your insurance company and you can be charged with driving without proper insurance (6-8 points on your licence with a maximum fine of £5000) on top of that.
