Expected driving ban for driving with no licence or insurance

I have just recently been charged for driving with no licence or insurance and I'm expecting a hefty ban. I think the least I'm going to be banned for is 3 years. Is there any way of doing anything to reduce this? It is my only offence in a car, someone tell me please!

Aston,

Have you been driving on a provisional licence by yourself or you did not have any licence at all?

You will incur points on your licence and will have to pay a fine. You may be banned drom driving for a certain period of time as well and that depends on the court which will sentence you. Normally a 12 months ban is issued but this may be increased depending on the circumstances. I doubt there's anything you can do really to reduce the ban as driving without insurance is an absolute offence which means there are no excuses for not insuring your car and driving without licence is a criminal offence and a threat to other road users.

Gices,

Yes, I have a provisional licence but I dont think it really matters as there were no "L plates" on the car and there was no one with me who had been driving for 3 years. Thanks for your reply anyway and giving me a rough idea of what to expect.
