Father visiting UK for 2 weeks. Is now a spanish resident with full EU driving license. Age 75. Who offers temporary car insurance?

For people with EU driving licences, there shouldn't be any problem to get temporary car insurance. However because of his age (he is at the age limit that most insurers are willing to insure), you might find that you have few choices.

You can try DayInsure - http://www.dayinsure.com

They accept EU licences, does not need to be UK resident and age limit is between 21-75. Let me know how it goes :)

Thanks for your answer. Tried these people along with a dozen others. The age thing was far more of a problem than the EU license. In the end we hired a car.....

I'm really sorry to hear that.

I know you're no longer looking for temp cover for your father now but I'm really curious to know what possible excuse DayInsure could have to refuse insuring your dad when it clearly says on their website that the age limit is between 21-75 and your dad falls into that age group?
