Fault accident in company car, do I need to tell inform my own insurer?

I had an accident in the snow and ice this year, just slipped slowly off the road into a lampost. This was with a company car and resulted in a small claim. No third party involved. On my own insurance I have protected no claims, do I need to tell them and would it result in a higher premium? The first accident/claim in 25 years!!

i personally wouldn't endorse this answer (disclaimer lol), but if you got it reapired yourself and didn\'t involve the insurance companies then i can't see the issue of not telling them - they will only use this as an excuse to raise ur premium. but technically i THINK u do need to inform ur insurer of any accident thru fault of your own or not. if ur renewal is due soon it will probably have an increase anyway due to the credit crunch. you could just wait and see if it changes. if it doesn't then inform them of the bump and see what they say.
