Getting my licence back but not sure how!

Hi...about 4-5 years ago I lost my licence for drink driving and haven't driven since...now I want to get it back but am unsure what to do and if I have to get my L's and P's again...can anyone help?

Well, a good start would be to contact the DVLA to enquire about the status of your driving licence unless of course you have the court letters to say how long you were banned for. You can also contact the court where you were sentenced and they should be able to tell you when your driving ban is supposed to expire.

If your driving disqualification is over now, then you can request your driving licence back from the DVLA.

Thank You for your info...I did obtain my driving record today from RTA and will have my licence reinstated
