Got fixed penalty while waiting in the car because I had the keys in

I was given a fixed penalty for driving a car without insurance even though I wasn't driving, I was waiting for the RAC after my son's car broke down on the M6. I was told by the officers that as I had the keys, I was responsibile. I was fined £200. The code is A0901, is there such a code if so is there any way I can get the points taken off my licence?

So the car did not have any insurance at all? If yes, then how was your son driving it? I mean it would have been illegal. And where was your son? Did he leave you by yourself off the M6? I'm just not understanding the situation properly, so you would mind elaborating please?
