I have 9 points on my licence but have gone through another speed camera, can I still drive my car awaiting prosecution?

I've read it may take up to 6 months to go to court, can I still drive my car?

Yes, you can still drive until you're are found guilty by the court and convicted for the speeding offence. I don't suppose you have confessed to speeding yet, have you? The reason I'm asking this is because usually when a speeding offence goes to court, there could be a higher fine and the penalty points could increase from 3 to 5. Either way, you'll reach the 12 points if found guilty.
