Insurance company won't pay third party because I had modified my car with bigger wheels

My insurance company won't pay the third party in an accident I had because I had bigger wheels on the car, they said I didn't declare them on my insurance so I was not insured. They won't pay out because the car had been modified (bigger wheels), they are now taking me to court to pay for third party car.

When you are getting a quote, you have to say if it's modified or not as this effects your quote.
