Learning to drive, do I need to go on dad's insurance?

Can i drive my dads car while learning to drive, with him beside me, do i have to go on his insurance?

If you're not already insured, you will need to go either on your dad's current car insurance policy as an additional driver or you can purchase a separate policy of your own to be able to drive his car. It's better to get a short term insurance policy for learners rather than being added on a yearly policy moneywise.

As long as you dad has had his licence for over 3 years, he can sit besides you while you're learning to drive.
