Lost provisional licence due to 1 year driving ban, how do I get it back?

I owned a provisional driving licence. Last year I got banned from driving for a year. I want to know if I have to pay for a replacement licence or whether I have to pay the full price for a new one.

You will have to pay the fee that is application for disqualified drivers. At the time of writing, that's £65 to get back your provisional licence when your driving ban is over. Note that the New Driver's Act comes into play only after you've passed your test and not while you're a provisional driver. If you have been banned for drink driving, then you will have to pay £90 instead.

DVLA will send you a reminder a few weeks before your end is supposed to end but if you don't receive any communication from them, you can fill a D1 application form and send it to them to get your provisional licence back when your disqualification is over. Note that you must send them the correct fee as well.
