Need to insure car but no licence

Sent my licence to dvla for medical reasons and need to insure and tax my vehicle, can I get insurance?

Harry,

You do not need your licence at hand to insure your car. All you need to say on the application form is how many years you've held your licence for. Now to tax your car, you will need a valid MOT certificate, proof of insurance for the vehicle and your registration documents or MOT reminder letter. Assuming you're not unfit to drive because of any medical reasons, then you do not need your driving licence to do either of these (insure and tax your car).
