Quinn Direct gone into administration and I can no longer get cheap quotes

hi

I'm an 18 year old and I've just passed my test. I was getting insured on a 2003 punto by quinn direct for 2396 quid which is easily the best I could get, but they have gone into administration now and I can no longer get a quote from them; the best I have now (and I've done my pass plus) is 3200!!!! can anyone help me get it down a little bit please! :'(

£3000 for a 2003 Punto is a bit too steep. Okay can you tell us what you have done so far?

  1. Have you been on a car insurance comparison site?
  2. Have you tried increasing your voluntary excess?
  3. How much mileage have you put down?
  4. Are there any other drivers on the policy?
  5. How old are you?
  6. Did you try to contact other insurers directly?

Some of the questions might be obvious but still it's important to get the full picture before suggesting anything.
