Hi, I received a speeding ticket (39 in 30 zone Surrey) sometime after the alleged event. Firstly I was asked who would have been driving the vehicle, I stated that I had not given my permission to anyone else to drive it. Without being given any photographic evidence, I was given 3 options of paying a fixed penalty plus 3 points, fixed penalty plus taking a speed awareness course and thirdly go to court. I wrote to the unit asking if they would send me the evidence, to which they replied that they are not obliged to do so and that the only way of getting the evidence would be to go to court and plead not guilty. The question I would like to ask, is this the normal process as I would like to see the evidence before I pay up if I am quilty and I do not want to waste the courts, or my time? Many thanks
