If you've just bought the car, then you can take it back to the dealer and they should sort out any problems with it. Normally you have 3 months warranty for even second hand cars, so that's the first thing you should do.

Sometimes when the clutch is stiff, it may only need some adjusting for which you have to take the car to a mechanic. Otherwise it can be a sign of a bigger problem where you will have to change the clutch altogether.
