Yes, there is. Type ecar in google they provide monthy or daily cover at a cheap price. I'm 21 passed test last month and driving 1600cc polo on monthly cover at 150 pounds. If I want to cancel I just cancel direct debit with no charge and then go another month when I need!

You are right but eCar will only insure you for a minimum of 1 whole month if you hold your licence for less than a year. You will not be able to get insurance cover for periods shorter than this and this is renewable on a monthly basis as well, so no 1 month 10 days insurance - it has to be complete months.

It does work if you get insured as an alternative driver e.g get your mum or dad to insure that car as proposer and you get insurance on that same car as driver no.2 but it's not for a couple of days or months but it works annually!

Annual car insurance is not a problem here but temporary car insurance is if the driver does not have at least a full year's driving experience. The two main things about getting insurance cover for short periods is that you need to be 21 or over and have held your driving licence for over a year.
