Temporary insurance for student driver on holidays

My daughter (21) passed her test in April 2010 and wants to be able to drive our family car at home during university holidays. Can you recommend a company that would insure her for this, preferably without Pass Plus? Thank you.

She would need to have had her driving licence for at least 1 year to be eligible for short term car insurance. This is for insurance cover between 1-28 days. However she can get insured for a minimum of 1 month with eCarInsurance and she doesn't require pass plus for that policy. It is called Pay As You Go but is really a one month insurance contract. Now depending on how many days your daughter will be coming home during university holidays, this may or may not be the best solution for her.
