Your question does not provide enough information for me to give you a detailed answer but I'll try.

The DVLA doesn't state this but ALT - Alanine aminotransferase & AST - Aspartarte aminotransferase is used to indicate the degree of inflammation to the liver. The aminotransferases are enzymes that are present in the liver cells (hepatocytes). They leak into the blood stream when the liver cells are damaged.

Obviously this is due to alcohol abuse.
