Why should I be penalised because my car has been stolen?

Three years no claim (would have to wait another year to get protected no claims). Car stolen - three years old - one driver - perfect condition and only 6k miles on the clock. Why should I have to pay a higher premium when I get a new car. Seems unjust as it was not my fault.

Yes, I know, the current system does not make sense. You would think that you're paying for car insurance to have peace of mind when it comes to these problems but it feels like uninsured drivers or those breaking the law are more priviledged, isn't it?

Btw what car did you have and how easy was the claiming process with your current insurance company?

So you're saying that you have your NCB because your car was stolen? Is that right?
